Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola said
Erling Haaland
deserved to play in the World Cup after performing so outstandingly.
Haaland has just succeeded in bringing Norway to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. This result also ends Norway’s 28 year wait since they last competed in the 1998 World Cup.
This success was accompanied by his sharpness in front of the opponent’s goal.So far, Haaland has scored 32 goals with the club and national team in just 20 appearances.

“He has been extraordinary this season. He has broken many personal records in the Premier League and with Norway,” said Guardiola, quoted from the official Man City website.
“I feel happy for him with the national team and I saw yesterday that many of the team members were not born when Norway last played in the World Cup.”
With all of Haaland’s achievements, Guardiola feels that Haaland should play in the World Cup with his status as a world-class striker.
“He scored a lot of goals. As a world-class player, he deserves to play in the World Cup, so I’m happy for him,” said Guardiola.
Haaland’s goal tally this season has great potential to increase this weekend.However, the challenge will not be easy because Haaland and his friends will be hosted by Newcastle United at St James’ Park, Sunday (23/11) early morning WIB.
