“I’m still grateful to be able to return to the podium even though this is not the best result I could achieve. There are many positive things that can be taken from the Kumamoto Masters this year and I am also quite happy with the performance,” said Grego, quoted by PBSI.
Regarding the match, Grego, who was seeded fourth, admitted that he did not take advantage of the momentum after taking the lead in the first game.
“In the second game I was behind 16-20 but I still tried and was able to catch up to 20-20 before finally having to admit Ratchanok’s superiority. Credit to him for playing very well, he deserves this title,” said Grego.
Qualifying for the 2025 Kumamoto Masters final is an achievement to be grateful for.Considering that in the last few months, Gregoria has had unsatisfactory results after recovering from injury.
“The Kumamoto Tournament can be said to bring good luck, I didn’t expect it to come this far because the last few months were very tough.”
“The evaluation from here is that physical condition and endurance need to be improved again,” said the bronze medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
