revealed China plans to invest IDR 36.4 trillion in the Integrated Industrial Zone

This value was recorded in the results of the government’s meeting with representatives of the Chinese Communist Party from Fuzhou Province on Wednesday (26/11).
“During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was held for 16 activities. And of the 16 activities related to the Twin Country Two Parks program, a total investment of 16 projects was recorded at IDR 36.4 trillion,” said Airlangga at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, Thursday (27/11).

Airlangga explained that the 16 projects covered a number of sectors.These include a steel project with a capacity of 1 million tonnes, processing of meat and marine products, nickel iron trading, as well as research and development (R&D) projects for textiles and
high end.
Apart from that, there is cooperation related to coal, textile raw materials, the tea and jasmine industry, etc

agricultural products such as coconuts and durian.
He added that all of the investment is planned to go to KIT Batang, an area that was previously inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto together with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang.
According to Airlangga, this step will accelerate the realization of investment in the area.
“All of this will be investment in the Batang Industrial Area, which was inaugurated by the President and Prime Minister Li Qiang. So, this is one way to accelerate investment in the Batang Industrial Area,” said Airlangga.
The Two Countries Twin Park (TCTP) initiative was also one of the important points discussed at the bilateral meeting between Prabowo and Li Qiang last May.
This program includes cooperation in developing three industrial areas between Indonesia and China.
First
, the Batang industrial area covering an area of 500 hectares which is planned to become ‘Indonesia’s version of Sichuan’.
Second,
development of industrial areas in Bintan.Third, the partner area in Fujian Province, China.This collaboration is expected to have a direct economic impact on Indonesia.
For the initial stage, the government had targeted a minimum investment of US$3 billion in Batang.This project is also projected to create more than 100 thousand new jobs in the area.
