The government will enforce
discount on toll rates
and transport during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 periods (
Nataru
).
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the Ministry of Public Works (Kemen PU) had prepared toll rate discounts of up to 20 percent for 3 days on various toll road sections.
“The discount will last for 3 days, namely 22, 23 and 31 December, the rate is 10 percent-20 percent on 26 toll roads, 2 Jabodetabek, 9 Trans Java, 3 non-Java, 12 Trans Sumatra,” said Airlangga during a press conference after a meeting of the government’s strategic program acceleration task force at the office of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (26/11).

Meanwhile, discounts on transportation rates apply to trains, sea transportation, crossings and air transportation.
“Now Nataru’s readiness, later this transportation discount program will have been prepared. Regarding the fare discount, it includes train tickets, sea transportation, ferry transportation, air transportation,” he added.
Furthermore, the government has also prepared 244 events (activities) in the tourism sector. Of this number, the four largest events will be held in Bali, Yogyakarta, Minangkabau and Jakarta.
“There are 4 big events, namely the DWP in Bali with a target of 70 thousand visitors, the Yogyakarta Festival in Yogyakarta with a target of 5 thousand visitors, the Minangkabau Festival with a target of 54 thousand visitors, and the Big Bang Festival Yogyakarta with a target of 895 thousand visitors,” explained Airlangga.
On the same occasion, Deputy Minister of Transportation Suntana explained in detail the transportation discounts that had been prepared by the government.
Suntana said the sea transportation discount is 20 percent for ticket purchases from December 17 2025 to January 10 2026, while the flight transportation discount is approximately 13-14 percent which is valid from December 22 2025 to January 10 2026.
“Train transportation gets a special economic addition of around 30 percent, with a departure time of 22 December 2025 to 10 January 2026. Likewise, with ASDP crossings you will also get discounts from 22 December to 10 January,” said Suntana.
