, Ahmad Doli Kurnia expressed his concerns about the discourse
permanent coalition
which recently emerged again after being pushed by its general chairman, Bahlil Lahadalia.
Doli believes that the discourse on a permanent coalition needs to be studied in depth, especially after it is proposed to be regulated in law.This is because the permanent coalition model has never occurred in Indonesia.
“So, so far the coalition has been formed naturally. So in my opinion we have to be careful and then enter it formally,” said Doli when contacted, Thursday (11/12).

The Deputy Chair of the DPR Legislative Body (Baleg) believes that a permanent coalition could hamper the flexibility of political parties in building an understanding of vision and mission.
Apart from that, according to Doli, making the coalition permanent could also create political rigidity.According to him, the coalition should be temporary as political dynamics continue to change.
“So the fear is that if we are locked into a permanent coalition, there will be no freedom to formulate a broader vision and mission, because of the entanglement of political interests,” he said.
Doli is afraid that a permanent coalition will mean that political parties will no longer have the ability to develop ideas openly.In fact, according to him, political parties should be given the freedom to develop their thoughts and ideas in developing the country.
“So in my opinion, just let this political party be free, as freely as possible to elaborate on the concept of building a state and nation,” he said.
