Because, currently there are still a lot of quotas for the free motorbike homecoming program available.Based on PT KAI data, the free homecoming quota for motorbikes via train is for 12,780 passengers and 5,568 motorbikes have only been 41 percent filled.
With this quota still available, Dudy encourages people who want to go home by motorbike to register in large numbers.The aim is to reduce the use of two-wheeled vehicles on the road during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2025 (Nataru) holidays.

“This encourages people to use public transportation more and the hope is that with this program, the use of two-wheeled vehicles on the road will decrease,” said Dudy in a press conference at Pasar Senen Station, Tuesday (23/12).
Likewise, President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Bobby Rasyidin urged the public to register for free homecoming via the KAI website.
“For this free motorbike transportation program, the current status is still 41 percent. So, the available seats are still 59 percent,” he explained at the same event.
Bobby said that information and registration for this free homecoming program can be accessed via the nusantara.kemenhub.go.id channel.
There are 10 destination routes for this free motorbike homecoming program which depart from Jakarta, including Solo, Wonosobo, Semarang, Wonogiri, Cilacap, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang and Madiun.Meanwhile, free homecoming for motorbikes via train serves the northern route (Jakarta – Semarang) and the central route (Jakarta – Purwosari).
