) to be questioned as a witness in the alleged corruption case in determining quotas and organizing the Hajj pilgrimage at the Ministry of Religion for 2023-2024, Tuesday (16/12).
Yaqut, accompanied by a number of people, including his lawyer and spokesperson, arrived at 11.42 WIB.He was seen hurriedly entering the KPK’s Red and White Building to immediately undergo an examination.
“I’ll go in first,” said Yaqut briefly when confirmed regarding his examination.

Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Committee, Asep Guntur Rahayu, previously said that investigators would investigate state losses in the alleged corruption case regarding additional Hajj quotas when examining Yaqut.
“This examination is specifically related to our problem of exploring state financial losses. So, we will focus on that,” said Asep, Monday (15/12) evening.
This is Yaqut’s second schedule for being examined.In the first agenda on Monday, September 1 2025, investigators questioned Yaqut regarding the different rules for the additional Hajj quota obtained for 2023-2024.
Similar material was also investigated by Yaqut’s special staff, Chair of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board, Ishfah Abidal Aziz, who was also questioned as a witness on that day.
In the ongoing process, on August 11 2025, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) issued a Decree prohibiting traveling abroad for Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, his staff, especially Ishfah Abidal Aziz, and the owner of the Maktour Travel travel agent, Fuad Hasan Masyhur.
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) has also searched a number of places, such as Yaqut’s residence in Condet, East Jakarta, the Hajj and Umrah travel agent’s office in Jakarta, the ASN house of the Ministry of Religion in Depok, and the room of the Directorate General of PHU of the Ministry of Religion.
Many pieces of evidence allegedly related to the case were confiscated.These include documents, electronic evidence (BBE), four-wheeled vehicles and property.
