Sibolga Police Public Relations Head AKP Suyatno said that heavy rainfall occurred on Sunday from 14.00 WIB to 19.30 WIB.As a result, the water flow increased until it overflowed into residential areas and the official residence of the Sibolga Deputy Chief of Police.

Suyatno said several locations that were flooded included along Jalan DR.F.L.Tobing and Jalan Cornel C. Simanjuntak which are in Huta Tonga-Tonga Village, North Sibolga District.Then also soaked the official residence of the Sibolga Police Deputy Chief, the Sibolga Police Mess, and the Sibolga Police SPPG.
Suyatno said that for the time being, people were asked to take alternative routes or not approach flood areas.This is to avoid unwanted things.
“Disrupting community activities and making a number of points impassable to vehicles temporarily,” he said.
From the results of joint officer patrols, there have been no fatalities or injuries due to the impact of this flood.His party will continue to coordinate with the flood and landslide command post to monitor the potential for subsequent floods if they occur again.
