, submerged
flood
with varying water levels due to increased river water discharge.
Acting Head of Serang City BPBD Diat Hermawan said the flood hit six locations in Kasemen, Cipocok Jaya and Walantaka sub-districts.

“The worst conditions were observed in the Grand Sutra Complex, Cipocok Jaya District, with water levels reaching 80 centimeters. At this location the flood affected 470 houses and 2,483 people,” said Diat, Thursday (18/12).
Diat explained that the waterlogging in the Cipocok Jaya area had not subsided.Floods in this area also submerged the Untirta Permai Complex, Banjar Agung Village.
Floods in Walantaka District submerged 150 houses in the Grand Sutera Complex, Teritih Village, with water levels of 30 to 70 centimeters, affecting 425 people.
For the Kasemen District area, inundation as high as 15 to 40 centimeters occurred in the Rujak Beling and Kendal Neighborhoods, Margaluyu Village and the Tanggul Jaya Neighborhood, Banten Village.
“Our monitoring results show an increase in water discharge and quite strong currents in a number of rivers such as the Cibanten River, Padma Raya River, Nyapah River, Banten River and KSB River,” he said.
Serang City BPBD dispatched personnel and equipment to the location to carry out assessments and collect data on affected residents.Residents in flood-prone areas are advised to remain alert for the potential for additional rain.
