“The hot spring tourist attraction area of 13 showers was affected by this incident. This flash flood caused the hot water pool at that location to be swept away by the strong current of water. Visual monitoring in the field showed that mud, sand, stones, even branches and tree trunks covered part of the tourist area,” said Abdul in a statement received.

The authorities also closed the tourist area temporarily for security reasons.
Until this news was published, there had been no reports of casualties related to this flash flood.
Meanwhile, the Tegal Regency BPBD team has been deployed to the location to carry out a rapid assessment and emergency response efforts in the field.
“It is appealed to the community along the Gung River, especially the Balapulang, Dukuhwaru, Adiwerna and Pantura areas to increase preparedness and vigilance and follow the directions of officers in the field,” said Abdul.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bojong Sector Police, Commissioner Khaerun, said that the flood that hit the Guci Tourist Attraction Area was caused by floodwater from the Sawangan River which is on the border of Tegal Regency and Brebes Regency.
“There were no casualties in that incident, so it is still safe. Yes, the flooding was caused by shipments from the upper areas,” he said.
However, he said, the flash flood caused shower pipe 13 at the Guci tourist attraction to be carried away by the river current.
He also appealed to residents and visitors to the Guci tourist attraction to be careful when it rains as an effort to anticipate something undesirable.
Officers at Pancuran 13 Guci Jam Zami Tourist Attraction said flash floods started to occur at around 15.00 WIB when the intensity of the rainfall increased quite heavily.
“The overflowing river water with a strong current brought mud, stone and wood material to the tourist area. The flood came quite heavily at around 15.00 WIB along with heavy rain,” he said.
As a result of this incident, a small bridge in the Pancuran 13 area was reportedly carried away by the flood currents and the Pancuran 13 bathing pool was also covered by flood material so it could not be used.
“The flood water discharge began to recede and conditions gradually improved, Saturday evening. However, light rain was still falling in the Guci area,” he said as quoted by Antara.
