, Tri Taruna Fariadi was detained by the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) after surrendering himself and undergoing an intensive examination on Monday (22/12).
“Tonight, investigators immediately detained TAR. The detention was carried out for the first 20 days, starting from today, Monday 22 December to 10 January 2026,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement, Monday evening.
“Detention was carried out at the ACLC Building, KPK C1,” he continued.

Tri Taruna, who was wearing an orange vest typical of KPK prisoners with number 100 and his hands were handcuffed, did not say a word when confirmed regarding his legal case.He went straight to the KPK detention car.
Tri Taruna surrendered himself on Monday (22/12) after fighting officers and running away when he was about to be arrested during the Hand Arrest Operation (OTT) last December 18.

at the KPK’s Red and White Building, the surrender was accompanied by two TNI personnel and officers from the Attorney General’s Office.They arrived at around 12.50 WIB.
Tri Taruna denied hitting the KPK officer.
“I’ve never been crashed,” said Tri Taruna when questioned about the alleged resistance, at the Red and White Building, Jakarta, Monday (22/12).
Based on information from the Corruption Eradication Commission in a press conference, Saturday (20/10) morning, Tri Taruna is said to have resisted by crashing his car into a KPK officer.He managed to escape when he was about to be caught.
The legal process against Tri Taruna is related to the alleged extortion case.
Apart from him, the KPK also named the Head of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu, and the Head of the Intelligence Section of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Asis Budianto, as suspects.
Both of them have been detained at the KPK State Detention Center (Rutan) for the first 20 days starting from 19 December 2025 to 8 January 2026.
The suspects are suspected of violating Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter f of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor)

After serving as Kajari HSU in August 2025, Albertinus allegedly received cash flows of at least IDR 804 million, directly or through intermediaries, namely Asis and Tri Taruna and other parties.
The receipt of the money came from Albertinus’ alleged extortion of a number of regional officials at HSU, including the Education Service, Health Service, Public Works Service (PU), and Regional General Hospital (RSUD).
“In the period November-December 2025, from this request, APN (Albertinus) allegedly received a cash flow of IDR 804 million which was divided into two intermediary clusters,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission Asep Guntur Rahayu in a press conference at his office, Jakarta, Saturday (20/18) morning.
