National Legislation Program evaluation meeting (
Prolegnas
) in the Legislative Body (Baleg) issued and included a number of bills in the 2026 Priority Prolegnas list. One of those proposed to be included in the 2026 Prolegnas is the Wiretapping Bill.
The meeting was chaired by DPR Baleg Chairman Bob Hasan and attended by the government represented by Deputy Minister of Law Eddy Hiariej.

“Based on the results of the legislative performance data, the DPR RI will make adjustments to the list of Priority Bill Prolegnas for 2026,” said Bob in his presentation at the meeting, Thursday (27/11).
The Gerindra Party politician revealed that there were four bills issued on the 2026 Priority Prolegnas list, namely the Danantara Bill, the Patriot Bond Bill, the Industry Bill and the Prosecutor’s Bill.
As a replacement, the DPR Baleg, said Bob, will propose that the Tapping Bill and the Drinking Water Utilization and Sanitation Bill be included in the 2026 Priority Prolegnas list.
“Yes, regarding wiretapping which was proposed as a bill initiated by the Legislative Body. I see. So later the Legislative Body, we, the Secretary General, will discuss wiretapping here,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Drinking Water Utilization and Sanitation Bill is important to be discussed immediately because it relates to the needs of many people.
“This is something that has a big impact on the lives of many people. Yes, we will also propose something like that. It will probably be added, possibly yes,” he said.
