Tifauzia Tyassuma or
Dr. Tifa
admitted that he was not afraid after being named as a suspect in the alleged fake diploma case of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (
Jokowi
).
It is known that Tifa today underwent her initial examination as a suspect at Polda Metro Jaya.Apart from Tifa, Roy Suryo and Rismon Sianipar were also present to provide information.
“I am not afraid, because scientific truth cannot be extinguished by political pressure or officials who work outside the realm of professionalism. Pressure like this actually strengthens my belief that the nation’s intellectual space is being tested,” said Tifa to journalists at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday (13/11).

Tifa also suspects that there was an attempt to silence the scientific work she carried out through an unfairly directed legal process. He said, if academic criticism is treated as a threat, this is a serious setback for freedom of thought in this country.
“I see indications of criminalization carried out not by institutions, but by individuals who take advantage of state power. Such behavior not only harms me personally, but also damages public trust in law enforcement,” he said.
Tifa also said that abuse of authority by anyone should not be allowed to become a culture. He also asked the state to be able to differentiate between scientific criticism and criminal acts.
“I hope that state institutions will return to their dignity, keep their distance from personal interests, and prove that this process is not a tool to attack those who speak out. If the law is enforced fairly, this nation still has hope of improving itself,” he said.
