DJBC Orders 25 Million Excise Ribbons to Peruri, Optimistic that the Economy Will Improve in 2026

) ordered 25 million excise stamps for January 2026 to the Republic of Indonesia Money Printing Public Company (
Peruri Municipal Corporation
).
Director General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance, Djaka Budhi Utama, confirmed that the excise stamps for the beginning of next year are safe.The excise stamps consist of tobacco products (HT) and drinks containing ethyl alcohol (MMEA).
“Behind this, the excise stamps that we ordered are currently ready for around 25 million so that for next year or January (2026), it is safe to distribute the excise,” said Djaka at the Press Conference for the First Printing and Delivery of 2026 Design Excise Ribbons in Karawang, West Java, Wednesday (10/12).

Djaka expressed his gratitude to the Main Director of Perum Peruri Dwina Septiani Wijaya for fulfilling Customs orders on time.Moreover, the issue of an increase in excise rates in 2026 was raised.
However, Djaka Budhi Utama quoted the direction of the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa that there would be no increase in excise rates for next year.
“With the Minister’s decision (Minister of Finance Purbaya) that excise stamps for 2026 will not increase, Perum Peruri can freely fulfill Customs Excise orders according to time, so there are no problems in printing them,” explained Djaka.
Customs and Excise reported that there were 24.3 million excise stamps ordered for tobacco products and 310 thousand MMEA pieces.
Separately, Nirwala’s Director of Communications and Service User Guidance Dwi Heryanto said the number of orders for excise stamps in January 2026 was proof of the optimism of entrepreneurs, including those in the cigarette industry.
“Of course, looking at the cigarette mapping, now 25 million (excise stamps) means that the cigarette company itself is optimistic. If not, why would it order so many excise stamps, right? That’s all. Even though it doesn’t increase (excise rates), he is optimistic that next year the economic conditions will be better,” explained Nirwala.
