) announces the Provincial Minimum Wage
(UMP) 2026
increased to IDR 2,417,495 per month.
DIY Regional Secretary Ni Made Dwipanti Indrayanti said that the UMP in her province increased by 6.78 percent or IDR 153,414.05 compared to last year.
“The 2026 Provincial Minimum Wage is set at IDR 2,417,495,” said Made at the Kepatihan Complex, Yogyakarta City, DIY, Wednesday (24/12).

Made said that the calculation of the DIY UMP for 2026 was guided by Government Regulation (PP) Number 49 of 2025 concerning the Second Amendment to Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages.
The 2026 UMP was determined by DIY Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono
Furthermore, the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) for 2026 is determined by the governor referring to the recommendation of the regent/mayor based on the Wage Council’s proposal in their respective regions.
As a result, Yogyakarta City’s UMK next year is set at IDR 2,827,593.This figure increased by IDR 172,551.17 or 6.50 percent compared to last year.
Meanwhile, the Sleman Regency UMK is IDR 2,624,387.This figure increased by IDR 157,872.14 or 6.50 percent.Meanwhile, Bantul, IDR 2,509,001, increased IDR 148,468.00 or 6.29 percent.
Kulon Progo Regency’s UMK became IDR 2,504,520, an increase of IDR 153,280.15 or 6.52 percent.Lastly, Gunungkidul amounted to IDR 2,468,378, an increase of IDR 138,115.00 or 5.93 percent.
Made added that the district/city minimum wage applies to workers or laborers with less than one year of service at the company concerned.
Entrepreneurs, he continued, are prohibited from paying wages below the district/city minimum wage and from deferring the payment of the 2026 district/city minimum wage.
“Employers are obliged to prepare and implement a wage structure and scale in the company, so that wages for workers or laborers with a service period of one year or more are guided by the wage structure and scale, as an effort to improve workers’ welfare by taking into account the company’s capabilities and productivity,” concluded Made.
