“The commercial release of this film is for February 13, Valentine’s weekend. It will be released in Malaysia and Indonesia, then we will go country by country, one country after another, for all overseas territories,” said Khan after a special screening of the film at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Saturday (13/12).
He said the making of the film was inspired by his visit to the Taj Mahal several years ago.
At that time, he was amazed by the beauty of the Taj Mahal.Khan also admitted to hearing the history of the construction of the Taj Mahal from a local guide.
“The story of how Emperor Shah Jahan with his dying lover in his arms, as he looked at her in his last breath, said ‘Make me such a monument that the world will remember our love’,” he recalled.
Khan also conveyed this true love story in the film.The process is quite long, up to around two years and four months.
The process of making a film includes research so that the story in the film does not deviate from history.
“So my entire office is like a library, a research laboratory. I have to do thorough research to bring out the right story that is closest to history. Yes, the moments are dramatized to touch the heart, the soul,” he said.
Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story is a cinematic masterpiece that brings to life the unforgettable bond between Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal.Their love inspired the creation of the Taj Mahal, the world’s symbol of eternal devotion.
The film stars Zulfi Sayed, Sonya Jehan, Kabir Bedi, Arbaaz Khan and Pooja Batra.
