and the landslide that hit Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) left deep sorrow.It was recorded that 16 people were declared dead and 40,094 houses spread across 12 sub-districts were submerged as of November 30 2025.
“The latest update on the flood and landslide disaster, as many as 40,094 houses were submerged, 64,626 heads of families (KK) or 207,441 people were affected. The area of land that was submerged was 2,609 hectares (Ha),” said Head of the Deliserdang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mukti Ali Harahap, Sunday (30/11).
The 16 sub-districts are Namorambe, Hamparan Perak, Delitua, Tanjung Morawa, Galang, Percut Sei Tuan, Patumbak, Sunggal, Bangun Purba, Batang Kuis, Lubuk Pakan, Beringin.

“Thank God, the situation and conditions are getting better. There are only 29 villages in 5 sub-districts that have not subsided. Only eight villages affected by landslides remain in four sub-districts,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Deli Serdang Communication, Informatics, Statistics and Cryptography Service (Kominfostan), Anwar Sadat Siregar, added that landslide material was still blocking village roads, and road openings were continuing so they could be passed quickly.
“For the 29 villages where the floodwaters have not receded, these include Punden Rejo and Tanjung Baru Villages in Tanjung Morawa District. In Punden Rejo Village the water level is still around 20 to 65 centimeters, while in Tanjung Baru Village it is between 15 and 25 centimeters,” he said.
Then in Hamparan Perak District, there are eight villages, including Kota Rantang, Paluh Kurau, Paya Bakung, Desa Lama, Sei Baharu, Hamparan Perak, Paluh Manan and Kota Datar.The water height varies between 10 and 150 centimeters.
“In Paya Bakung Village, the bridge was cut so that community access was hampered. In Percut Sei Tuan District there are three villages that are still flooded, namely Saentis, Tanjung Rejo and Percut Village, with water levels ranging from 20 to 70 centimeters,” he explained.
In Batang Kuis District, it is said that many villages are still flooded.It was recorded that of the 11 villages, only Tumpatan Nibung had the floodwaters recede.Meanwhile, 10 other villages are still inundated, namely Bakaran Batu, Bintang Meriah, Batang Kuis Pekan, Sidodadi, Sugiharjo, Mesjid, Paya Gambar, Baru, Tanjung Sari, and Sena.
“In Batang Kuis, 11 schools were submerged, two places of worship, one village office and one embankment collapsed,” he explained.
Floods in Patumbak District hit four villages, Patumbak Kampung, Lantasan Lama, Tadukan Raga, and Sigara-gara.Of the four, only Patumbak Kampung has not subsided.This is because the water retaining embankment in the village broke.
“Then, in Pantai Labu District there are six villages that are still flooded, including Pantai Labu Pekan, Paluh Sibaji, Tengah, Kelambir, Rantau Panjang, and Sei Tuan, with water levels ranging from 20 to 120 centimeters,” he said.
Meanwhile, the location affected by the landslide, namely in Tanjung Selamat Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, caused the bridge to break so that road access in Hamlet I, I-A and II-A was hampered.
“In Perguroan Village, Bangun Purba District, the connecting road to STM Hulu District which is 5 meters long is buried in material up to 2 meters high,” he explained.
Furthermore, landslides in Sibolangit District still have an impact on traffic access for residents in five villages, namely Hamlet I and II, Buah Nabar Village;Hamlet III, Rumah Kinangkung SP Village;Hamlet II, Suka Maju Village;Mbelin New Village and Bandar Baru
“Officers from the Department of Water Resources, Highways and Construction Development (SDABMBK) continue to carry out measures so that residents’ access can return to normal. Another landslide impact was in Biru-Biru District, specifically in Sarilaba Jahe and Penen Villages. The roads in the two villages were buried in landslide material,” he concluded.
