One of the defendants in the case of alleged incitement to carry out anarchist acts during the August demonstration, Syahdan Husein exhibited
diploma
originally from Gajah Mada University (
UGM
) in a trial at the Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (16/12).
This moment occurred when Chief Judge Harika Nova Yeri took attendance of the defendants and read out their identities.
“Syahdan Husein. Birthplace of Jakarta?”Harika asked.

“That’s right,” answered Syahdan.
Harika then asked Syahdan’s age and date of birth.He also read out Syahdan’s address.
Syahdan confirmed the age and date of birth read by the judge.However, he protested his educational history in the indictment which was written as high school.Syahdan said he was a graduate of UGM.
“But Your Majesty, I have permission. It says that I have a high school education. I want to prove that from the lawsuit, I have a Bachelor’s degree from UGM. I bring your original diploma, Your Majesty,” said Syahdan.
He then stood up from his chair and showed the diploma.The court visitors then clapped and cheered.
The four defendants in this case are Lokataru Foundation Director Delpedro Marhaen, @blokpolitikpelajar account manager Muzaffar Salim, @gejayanmemanggil account manager Syahdan Husein, and @aliansimahasiswamenggil account manager Khariq Anhar.
The actions of the four were charged with violating Article 28 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45A paragraph 2 of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE) in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
Or the second indictment of Article 28 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 45A of the ITE Law in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code or the third indictment of Article 160 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st.
Or the fourth indictment of Article 76H in conjunction with Article 15 in conjunction with Article 87 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.
