West Sumatara and Aceh increased to a total of 442 people based on the latest data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
“Based on temporary data, the total death toll reached 442 people, and 402 people are still declared missing,” said Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Suharyanto in a press conference at the National Support Post, Silangit Airport, North Tapanuli, (30/11).
Suharyanto said the joint team of BNPB, TNI/Polri, Basarnas, ministries/institutions and local governments continues to work to speed up search, rescue, logistics and opening operations in affected areas.

North Sumatra still records the highest death toll.A total of 217 people died in North Sumatra as a result of floods and landslides, then there were 209 missing and 16 injured.
“The victims who died were spread across Central Tapanuli, South Tapanuli, Sibolga City, North Tapanuli, Humbang Hasundutan, West Pakpak, Padang Sidempuan City, Deli Serdang and Nias.
Missing victims in North Sumatra also increased to 209 people after many reported missing families to officers at each regional command post.
Meanwhile, refugees are spread across several points, including 3,600 people in North Tapanuli, 1,659 people in Central Tapanuli, 4,661 people in South Tapanuli, 4,456 people in Sibolga City, 2,200 people in Humbang Hasundutan, and 1,378 people in Mandailing Natal.
Land access in several districts is still cut off due to landslides and bridge damage.In North Tapanuli, the Tarutung-Sibolga road is cut off at a number of points and a number of villages in Parmonangan and Adiankoting are still inaccessible with a total of more than 12,000 people affected.
“For Tarutung-Sibolga, normalization is still underway.”What this heavy equipment can penetrate is 40 kilometers,” said Suharyanto.
In West Sumatra, 129 people were recorded as dead, 118 missing and 16 injured.
“The victims were spread across Agam Regency, Padang Panjang City, Padang City, Padang Pariaman, Tanah Datar, West Pasaman, Pasaman, Solok, Solok City and Pesisir Selatan,” said Suharyanto.
The total number of refugees reached 11,820 families or 77,918 people, with the largest concentration in Padang City and Pesisir Selatan Regency.
Turning to Aceh Province, as of yesterday afternoon, 96 people had died and 75 people were missing, spread across Bener Meriah, Central Aceh, Pidie Jaya, Bireuen, Southeast Aceh, North Aceh, East Aceh, Lhokseumawe, Gayo Lues, Subulussalam and Nagan Raya.
“The number of refugees has reached 62,000 families in various districts/cities,” he said.
