The number of deaths due to rain,
flood
, and landslides in
Vietnam
since the weekend it has increased to 41 peopleĀ on Thursday (20/11).Meanwhile nine people have not been found.
The national meteorological agency on Friday (21/11) warned that the potential for subsequent flooding and landslides was expected to continue due to heavy rain in the region.
Now the water level continues to rise in cities and villages that are already inundated.Previously, rainfall in parts of Vietnam exceeded 1,500 mm (60 inches) over the past three days.

According to a disaster management agency report quoted by VnExpress, the flood submerged 52,000 houses and around 15,000 hectares of crops.
In addition, there are several photos in Vietnamese state media showing residents on the roofs of submerged houses and asking for help.
“There are people there, please help! We have been on the roof since 10pm yesterday, with children and adults,” wrote a resident of Khanh Hoa on local Facebook social media, as quoted by Reuters.
The photos show a number of areas in Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Dak Lak that were flooded.
According to the Vietnam News Agency, the navy went to the ground to help residents trapped in Khanh Hoa, and flood levels reached their highest level.
In Nhan Dan’s report, a 7 year old girl was rescued on Wednesday (19/11) evening in Da Lat after being buried by a landslide.
Photos in the report show the child’s hand emerging from a pile of dirt and concrete debris when rescuers arrived.He was rescued in about an hour and a half with a broken leg and taken to hospital.
Vietnam is a coffee production center and has the country’s most popular beaches, but it is also prone to storms and flooding.
After the incident, traders said the flood had hampered the coffee harvesting process in the area.
This disaster also resulted in the suspension bridge on the Da Nhim River, Lam Dong province being hit by currents on Thursday morning according to VietnamNet media reports.
Video footage showed the bridge disappearing into the river in a matter of seconds, but Reuters has not confirmed the video’s authenticity.
