for alleged violations due to going on Umrah in the midst of disaster management in the region, this can only be done through the DPRD.
Dasco handed over the process completely to the South Aceh DPRD to be processed according to the applicable mechanisms and regulations.
“If that is in accordance with the existing mechanism. We are a democratic country, so we will hand it over to the local DPRD,” said Dasco after leading the plenary session to close the DPR session at the parliament complex, Monday (8/12).

Currently, Dasco admits that he has coordinated with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) and requested that Mirwan be temporarily dismissed.
Later, he said, Mirwan could undergo training at the Ministry of Home Affairs.Instead, Dasco asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to appoint an acting regent (Plt) to carry out disaster management duties in South Aceh.
“As a party, we propose to the Ministry of Home Affairs to conduct an evaluation, follow up on Law Number 23 of 2014, so that apart from being coached, the person concerned can be temporarily dismissed, so that an Acting Acting Officer can be appointed, who can then lead the handling of disasters in the area properly,” he said.
On the same occasion, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani reminded all regional heads to have empathy.Puan also asked all parties to focus on disaster management.
“For the Regent, all regional heads should have empathy,” said Puan.

Chairman of Commission II of the DPR, Rifqinizami Karsayuda, believes that the South Aceh DPRD will take a stand against the actions of Regent Mirwan MS, who is currently in the spotlight after going on Umrah in the midst of handling disasters in his region.
Rifqi said, as a regional head directly elected by the people, the Regent has responsibility for the DPRD.Even so, he believes that the political process in the DPRD will continue, especially since the Gerindra Party, as Mirwan’s party, has dismissed him as Chairman of the DPC.
“But I think the political process will definitely take place, imagine that the Gerindra Party, which is the supporting party and where he comes from, has already been removed,” said Rifqi at the parliament complex, Tuesday (8/12).
“I am sure that political parties also have a sense of politics and a sense of humanity related to this,” he added.
Currently, Rifqi has temporarily handed over the process completely to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) as a partner of Commission II.However, he believes sanctions will be imposed, whether temporary dismissal or permanent dismissal.
“So after that there will definitely be sanctions. The sanction that can be imposed is temporary removal, if from the Ministry of Home Affairs,” said Rifqi.
Mirwan MS is undergoing examination by the Inspectorate General (Inspector General) of the Ministry of Home Affairs Monday (8/12) today regarding his departure to the Holy Land.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya said the Inspector General of the Ministry of Home Affairs would investigate the case.Not only Mirwan, inspections were also carried out on other ranks of the South Aceh Regional Government.
Bima explained that the results of the inspection by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Home Affairs would result in a number of sanctions or warning options.Starting from warnings, temporary dismissal, to permanent dismissal.
He said these provisions had been regulated in Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Dismissals.The examination decision will be taken and tried by the Supreme Court (MA).
“Perhaps the inspectorate could even recommend permanent dismissal which would then be submitted to the Supreme Court once that is the door, so let’s wait for the results of the investigation into the Regent of South Aceh,” said Bima.
