Dana White announced a big fight in early 2026 featuring a duel

vs Paddy Pimblett in the UFC 324 duel at T-Mobile Arena, January 24 2026.
Quoted from the UFC website, the Gaethje vs Pimblett fight is a duel for the interim lightweight champion belt.
The winner of the UFC 324 duel will not only get the interim lightweight champion belt, but will also be the next opponent for the definitive lightweight champion, Ilia Topuria.

“I’m so excited for UFC fans that our first card has six current and former champions, including the long-awaited return of the greatest female fighter of all time, in what is sure to be the greatest women’s fight ever,” said Dana White.
Apart from the Gaethje vs Pimblett fight, UFC 324 featured another big fight, namely the Kayla Harrison vs Amanda Nunes match.This match will fight for the UFC women’s bantamweight championship belt.
Kayla Harrison is a women’s judo gold medalist at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, while Nunes is a former UFC champion.This duel marks the return of Nunes, who is considered the GOAT female fighter after retiring in 2023.
In the men’s bantan class, former UFC champion Sean O’Malley will face a fighter from China, Song Yadong.
The announcement of the main card at UFC 324 came just hours after Ilia Topuria’s statement that he would be temporarily absent from UFC fighting in 2026.
Topuria chose to take a short break from UFC for several months because he prioritized family interests.
