) Setyo Budiyanto said there was a way to eradicate it
corruption
It’s never easy and you’re bound to encounter obstacles. He said he would strengthen employee competence because this is one thing that can make the work of anti-corruption agencies effective.
“The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) realizes that the road to eradicating corruption is never easy and will definitely be winding. However, we believe that when the system is improved, people’s integrity is strengthened, and the public continues to be involved, Indonesia can become a cleaner and fairer country, especially realizing a Golden Indonesia 2045 and a Corruption-Free Indonesia 2045,” said Setyo at a press conference on performance achievements in 2025 at the Red and White Building, Jakarta, Monday (22/12).
Setyo understands that the KPK as a law enforcement agency can only stand tall if its employees are strong. For this reason, he said, human resources within the KPK must truly have integrity.

This year, Setyo said that his institution is trying to make this happen by strengthening the quality of human resources through various training, both domestically and abroad.
He said there were 1,958 KPK employees who would continue to improve their competence to answer the challenges of the times.Furthermore, he said that the competence of KPK employees also needs to be developed in today’s digital era.
“Thus, the KPK is trying to accelerate digital transformation through the 2025-2029 KPK blueprint towards services that are digital by design and in line with the government 5.0 vision. Institutions will not be stronger if they are not supported by cooperation and collaboration,” said Setyo.
“Therefore, at the global level, the Corruption Eradication Committee strengthens international cooperation. There are 32 Mutual Legal Assistance or MLA, dozens of cooperation agreements or PKS, and various important roles in UNCAC (United Nations Convention Against Corruption) and OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development),” he continued.
This three-star police general (retired) added that strengthening the work of the institution was also demonstrated by budget absorption reaching 98.19 percent.Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) paid by the Corruption Eradication Commission amounted to IDR 539.6 billion, an increase from the previous year.
“Then all of this is the KPK’s effort to maintain the organization so that it can continue to maintain the trust of the entire public or society,” said Setyo.
“Furthermore, we all want to express our thanks to all Indonesian people who continue to monitor the Corruption Eradication Commission from every report, then criticism, courage and public support which are the main fuel in the struggle to eradicate corruption,” he said.
Setyo emphasized that all these achievements do not belong to the Corruption Eradication Commission alone, but are the result of joint work between the central government, regional governments, law enforcement officials, the private sector, academics, partners, communities and the wider community.
In the field of prosecution, this year the Corruption Eradication Commission has processed hundreds of cases throughout 2025, of which 11 were dismantled through Arrest Operations (OTT).A total of 118 suspects were prosecuted and Rp. 1.53 trillion of corrupted state money was said to have been recovered.
