submitted his resignation as Acting Chairman of the DPD

Rudy, his nickname, conveyed his resignation in a letter he wrote to the General Chairperson, Megawati Soekarnoputri.The letter was circulated and he confirmed it.
“It’s true [sent a letter asking to resign],” said Rudy when confirmed, Thursday (17/12).

Rudy signed the letter on December 12 and stated that he would stop as Acting Chair of the Central Java PDIP DPD as of December 17.He admitted that he was no longer able to hold that position.
“By remembering and considering our inability to become Acting Chair of the Central Java PDIP DPD and considering the current conditions, so that the organization can run solidly and cohesively, we are sincerely sincere, starting December 17 2025, to resign from the position assigned by the General Chairperson, Mrs. Hj. Megawati Soekarnoputri, as Acting Chair of the Central Java PDIP DPD,” wrote Rudy.
Rudy admitted that he wanted to return to being a regular cadre.He also emphasized that he remained loyal to Megawati.
“With sincerity and sincerity, we ask that you remain members of the regular PDIP. We remain loyal, obedient and obedient to the general chairman and continue to fight to be ready to win the 2029 election,” he said.
Rudy has been a Megawati loyalist since becoming a PDI cadre in 1977 or three years after Paefai was founded.He has a long track record in Sukarno’s ideological party.Starting in 2000, when PDI became PDIP, Rudy served as Chair of the Solo PDIP DPC for five terms until 2025.
After the VI Congress in July 2025 in Bali, he was appointed as Acting DPD PDIP Central Java through a decree (SK) signed by the General Chairperson of PDIP, Megawati on 15 August 2025 replacing Bambang Wuryanto.
Allegedly related to Konferda
Rudy has not yet spoken specifically regarding the reasons for his resignation.However, the Chair of the Solo PDIP DPC, Teguh Prakosa, suspects that Rudy made the decision regarding the Central Java PDIP Conference.
The party consolidation agenda was scheduled to be held last Tuesday (16/12).However, the PDIP DPP sent a letter containing the postponement of the Conference until further notification.

“[embarrassed] because we couldn’t carry out the Konferda mandated by the general chairman,” said Teguh when met at the Solo PDIP DPC Office, Thursday (18/12).
Teguh said that the term of office of all Plt in PDIP is only limited to the end of December 2025. With the remaining time available, it will be difficult for the Central Java PDIP Conference to materialize.
“I’m sure he also thought long and hard. It’s already mid-December after the rescheduling [Conferda],” he said.
Megawati can refuse
Chairman of the PDIP DPP for Party Honors, Komarudin Watubun, said that the General Chair, Megawati, could refuse FX Rudy’s request to resign.
Komarudin explained that Rudy’s resignation letter was completely under the authority of the general chairman.He said the DPP or Party Court would not be involved or process the letter.
However, Komar admitted that he had not yet confirmed whether Megawati had received Rudy’s resignation letter.He also did not know whether Rudy’s resignation was related to the agenda of the PDIP Central Java Regional Conference which was originally to be held this December.
“So his language implies how loyal he is to the general chairman. So actually it really depends if the letter is then received by the general chairman and the general chairman says no, he has to finish as a cadre,” he said, Thursday (18/12).
