The Lev Tahor sect, which practices Judaism in which women wear black tunics from head to toe, has recently been the subject of an investigation into the abuse of minors.This incident is said to have occurred in several countries including Mexico and Canada.

Photos released by Colombian authorities show cult members wearing black tunics walking through a security checkpoint at Medellin Airport to board a plane bound for New York.
A spokesman for Colombia’s Immigration Agency said several minors, who came from places including the US and Guatemala, were also “pushed” back on the same flight to be handled by US child protective services.
The Lev Tahor sect, which in Hebrew means “pure heart”, was formed in the 1980s.Some of their members settled in Guatemala in 2013.
Colombian authorities estimate the community consists of about 50 families from Guatemala, the US, Canada and other countries.
In December 2024, Guatemala also rescued 160 minors from an agricultural area occupied by Lev Tahor.
The public prosecutor suspects that the children were victims of forced pregnancy, abuse and even rape.
