Fugitive in the methamphetamine case worth Rp. 5 trillion, Dewi Astutik alias Mami, was arrested in
Cambodia
on Monday (1/12).
The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) together with Interpol and the TNI Army’s Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) were also involved in the arrest.

In the official BNN release, the arrests were made through a cross-country silent operation in Sihanoukville, Cambodia.
Dewi Astutik was arrested on her way to the lobby of a hotel in Sihanoukville.The operation took place quickly, precisely, and without causing public disturbance.
“After being secured, Dewi was transferred to Phnom Penh for the identity verification process and official handover between authorities,” said the official BNN release.
Upon arrival in Indonesia, Dewi Astutik will undergo an intensive examination to reveal the flow of funding, logistics and the parties involved in the international network that operates in a number of countries.
This network is known to be active in the collection and distribution of various types of narcotics, including cocaine, methamphetamine and ketamine, to East and Southeast Asia.
BNN emphasized that action does not stop with arrests.They are ready to dismantle the entire network structure that has been operating in a massive and organized manner.
Cross-country silent operation
The silent operation this time was led by the Director of Enforcement and Pursuit of the BNN, Roy Hardi Siahaan.
This operation was a direct follow-up to orders from the Head of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency, Suyudi Ario Seto, who previously instructed the formation of a special team to carry out international pursuit operations.
This operation received full support from the Indonesian Defense Attaché in Cambodia and BAIS TNI led by Yudi Abrimantyo, who played an important role in mapping cross-country movements and regional coordination.
Dewi lived in Indonesia for some time.The head of Dukuh Sumber Agung Hamlet, Gunawan, said he lived in the area in 2009 and settled after getting married.
“I’ve never met Dewi. She’s a migrant from Slahung who married a resident here. Exactly, I don’t know when she left to become a migrant worker,” said Gunawan, as quoted by Detik.com.
Meanwhile, Dewi’s neighbor said that she last saw the woman in 2023.At that time, he said goodbye to work in Cambodia.
