has revealed Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) will return in the Marvel team’s next adventure.

on Thursday (18/12), screened at the screening of Avatar: Fire and Ash.Captain America is shown as a father to a newborn baby.

The trailer, set on a peaceful farm, begins with Steve riding a motorbike towards his house while the piano strains of the Avengers theme play in the background.
His blue helmet is reminiscent of his Captain America costume, which he takes out to admire fondly.He was holding a newborn baby.
Before ending the trailer shows.”Steve Rogers to return for Avengers: Doomsday.”The countdown timer begins and will end a year from now when Doomsday hits theaters.

Marvel fans last saw Captain America as one of the founding Avengers, in the closing moments of Avengers: Endgame (2019).
After saving the world from Thanos, Cap made it his personal mission to return the lost Infinity Stones to their rightful place throughout time.
After completing his time travel mission, an aged Steve returns to the main MCU timeline and passes on the Vibranium shield to his former partner, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), elevating his status from Falcon to the new Captain America.
After giving his shield to Sam, Steve then goes back in time to reunite with his girlfriend Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell).
After Steve disappeared and was frozen in ice in the first Captain America film, Peggy grew old but never stopped loving him.Now with Quantum Realm time travel technology, the two can marry and live together for decades.
Technically, Doomsday isn’t the first time Chris Evans has returned to the MCU after Endgame.In Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), he appears in a cameo as Human Torch, his original superhero role in Fantastic Four (2005).
Evans also isn’t the only original Avengers star set to return for Doomsday.Robert Downey Jr.will return, but not as Tony Stark.Instead, he will swap out his Iron Man suit to play the main villain, Doctor Doom, in this multiverse-crossing film.
Other returning heroes include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Simu Liu, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
Then, Florence Pugh, David Harbor, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman.From the X-Men universe, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Rebecca Romijn will join the MCU.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to air December 18, 2026.
