“If I’m not mistaken, the jersey auction could generate a total of IDR 232 million from the jersey auction alone. Then there are also monetary donations that have not been recorded. We will definitely report it,” said Aji at Madya Stadium, Friday (19/12).
Aji said that his party was preparing a schedule to go to the field to provide the donations directly. There is an option to distribute aid to footballers who are victims.
“There have been contacts from players or coaches mainly from Aceh. We need to see first whether it is possible or not for us to distribute it via delivery or direct options to the victims,” he said.
Meanwhile, former Indonesian national team player Ramdani Lestaluhu used the charity match as a moment of friendship between fellow football activists and at the same time collecting donations for disaster victims.
The former Persija Jakarta star donated an Indonesian national team jersey with his name when he appeared at the 2014 AFF Cup. The costume sold for IDR 100 million or was the highest in the auction session.
“For me, I don’t know what I should contribute to help. But from a football gathering like this, maybe a jersey is the only thing I can give,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter how much it sells, but for me I hope it can be useful for our brothers and sisters in Sumatra,” he added.
