achieved.The Red and White women’s kabaddi team confirmed that the Indonesian contingent won its 80th gold on Thursday (18/12).
The women’s three stars kabaddi team won narrowly over Malaysia in the title match at the Chalermphrakiat Sports Operations Center Building, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin.
Ni Komang Tri Meiyoni and friends won 14-12 over Malaysia in the first round.Then in the second half the Indonesian squad managed to maintain their lead with a score of 23-22.

This victory felt sweet because it was also revenge for the meeting against Malaysia in the group phase match.In the match which took place on Wednesday (17/12), Indonesia lost 22-23.
The gold from the three stars women’s team was the first in the kabaddi sport.Previously, male and female kabaddi athletes won silver in the standard style and super five numbers.
With an additional collection of one gold thanks to the sport originating from India, Indonesia is now in second place in the SEA Games standings with 80 gold, 92 silver and 101 bronze.
The Indonesian contingent can keep its distance from Vietnam, which has now collected 71 gold medals.Vietnam’s last gold came from women’s futsal.In the final match, the Vietnamese team beat Indonesia.
The hunt for the runner up position will still be fierce because there will be lots of medals available on Friday (19/12) and there are still sports to be contested on Saturday (20/12) which coincides with the closing day.
