Cause of death of guitarist and co-founder of the band

, Paul Daniel ‘Ace’ Frehley, has been revealed.Frehley was previously announced to have died on October 16, 2025.
In a Morris County Medical Examiner’s document reported by People on November 10, 2025, Frehley was declared dead from blunt trauma injuries to the head.

Ace Frehley was previously announced to have died by his family on October 16 2025. He died at the age of 74.
“We are truly grieving and heartbroken. In his final moments, we were fortunate enough to be able to accompany him with loving, caring and peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and good intentions as he left this world,” said the family as reported by Variety.
“We cherish all his fondest memories, his laughter, and celebrate the strength and kindness he gave others. His passing is devastating and unimaginable. Reflecting on all the incredible accomplishments in his life, Ace’s memory will live on forever!”
His old bandmates, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS, also expressed their condolences by writing in a statement.
“We mourn the passing of Ace Frehley. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock warrior during several important chapters in the band’s history and its formation.”
“He is and will always be part of the Kiss legacy. Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and everyone who loved him, including our fans around the world.”
Ace Frehley joined co-founders Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss in late 1972 and remained with the band through their most important era.
He left in 1982 to pursue a solo career, but rejoined when they reunited in 1996 for a highly profitable reunion tour that lasted until 2002.
