Cassation Rejected, Former President Director of Indofarma Still Sentenced to 13 Years in Prison

Indofarma
Arief Pramuhanto and still sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Arief is considered proven to have committed criminal acts of corruption in the sale of medical equipment and the financial management of Indofarma and its subsidiaries.
“Decision: Reject the defendant’s cassation request,” said the decision of the cassation panel, quoted from the Supreme Court Registrar’s website, Monday (8/12).

Case number: 11925 K/Pid.Sus/2025 was examined and tried by the chairman of the panel, Prim Haryadi, with member judges Yanto and Ansori.The verdict was read out on Wednesday, December 3 2025.
At the appeal level, the DKI Jakarta High Court (PT) sentenced Arief to 13 years in prison in the medical equipment corruption case.This verdict is more severe than the first degree which carries a sentence of 10 years in prison.
The case at the appeal level was tried by the chairman of the panel, Teguh Harianto, with member judges Budi Susilo and Hotma Maya Marbun.Apart from being sentenced to 13 years in prison, Arief was also sentenced to pay a fine of IDR 500 million subsidiary to 5 months in prison.
Apart from that, Arief was also sentenced to pay compensation of IDR 222.7 billion within one month after the inkrah decision.If they are not paid, their assets will be confiscated by the state.
“In the event that the convict does not have sufficient assets to pay the replacement money, he will be sentenced to prison for 7 years,” said the judge.
Meanwhile, in the first level, Arief is not charged replacement money.The panel of judges at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court considered that the Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office could not prove that Arief received money from his corruption.
Arief was jointly charged with corruption related to the financial management of PT Indofarma and its subsidiary, Indofarma Global Medika (IGM), in the 2020-2023 period.
His actions resulted in state losses amounting to IDR 377.4 billion.
Other defendants in this case are Gigik Sugiyo Raharjo as Director of PT IGM, Cecep Setiana Yusuf as Finance Manager of PT IGM, and Bayu Pratama Erdhiansyah as Finance and Accounting Manager of PT Indofarma.
