Last week, the UN Security Council also passed a resolution regarding the Gaza Strip, Palestine which touched on international peacekeeping forces.

So, can the peace plan proposed by Trump realize the establishment of a Palestinian State?
Former deputy minister of foreign affairs and founder of the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) Dino Patti Djalal said all parties must support the peace framework.
“I am concerned that Hamas and other groups have made statements criticizing the peace framework announced by the UN, which basically refers to Trump’s peace proposal,” said Dino at a press conference discussing the Conference on Indonesian Foreign Policy (CIFP) in South Jakarta, Tuesday (25/11).
He then said, “Once again, without judging whether Hamas is right or wrong, the fact is that everyone must agree and support the peace framework.”
Furthermore, Dino emphasized that currently what is most important and needs to be monitored is whether the peace framework can lead to a two-state solution.
The two-state solution is a framework for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict agreed upon by the international community by establishing two countries that coexist with each other, respect each other and recognize each other’s sovereignty.
“I am encouraged by the words in Trump’s peace agreement which say he will facilitate dialogue, which does not exist between Israelis and Palestinians, on the political path forward. I am encouraged by that,” said Dino.
He emphasized that it is important for the international community to ensure that dialogue is the ultimate goal for everyone, especially when there is a growing perception that Israel does not want a Palestinian state.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials have repeatedly said they do not want a Palestinian state.Because, the existence of this country is considered to threaten the existence of the Zionist country.
Apart from that, Israel also continues to expand its annexation of territory in Palestine.
Last week, Israel’s Ministry of Settlement Affairs launched expansion plans in the area around the Nitzana Crossing, near the Egyptian border.
In the document they released, the ministry stressed the initiative was to “strengthen the Jewish presence” in the border region. They also called this step an effort to curb arms smuggling and improve security.
Not only that, last August, Israel approved plans to expand its occupation of the West Bank by building 3,401 housing units or what is known as the E1 project. This plan split the area into two.
The development will also connect Jerusalem to the Maale Adumim settlement. This project makes the future of the Palestinian capital that has been touted impossible to achieve.Furthermore, the establishment of the Palestinian State is increasingly being eroded.
