announced plans to build new modes of transportation, viz
Lightning Pajajaran
, the train is said to serve Jakarta-Bandung in 1.5 hours.
The West Java Provincial Government has agreed with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI to build this service.
“The Pajajaran Express Train will cut the relatively fast travel time, Gambir-Bandung, to around one and a half hours. In fact, this service is planned to connect to Garut, Tasikmalaya and Banjar with a travel time of around two hours via Bandung,” said Dedi in a statement in Bandung, Wednesday (26/11).

When does the Pajajaran Express train operate?
KDM said the study will start in 2026. Construction will start in 2027. Kilat Pajajaran is targeted for completion in 2030.
KDM said West Java would finance this project through the APBD.West Java will disburse a budget of Rp. 2 trillion per year during the four-year development period.
KDM stated that the construction of railway infrastructure is an effort to restore the best transportation civilization in West Java that is environmentally friendly and can reach various areas without damaging the land network.
KDM also invites regional governments along the Kilat Pajajaran route to invest.If the local government participates in the investment, KDM promises to arrange for Kilat Pajajaran to have a stopping point in the area.
“Regencies that don’t invest in the construction of the Kilat Pajajaran comfortable train line don’t stop there. The train passes through. It’s enough to reach Bandung,” said KDM.
