PSSI National Team Body (BTN) chairman Sumardji still wants to lobby the club
Marselino Ferdinand
and
Justin Hubner
in order to strengthen the 2025 SEA Games.
Marselino and Hubner were included in the initial draft of the U-23 Indonesian National Team squad for the 2025 SEA Games. However, the two of them have not yet joined the training center (TC) or Garuda Muda training camp.
“Marselino is coming in but we have to discuss it with the club. If Justin hasn’t, we will send a letter,” said Sumardji after training at Madya Stadium, Tuesday (11/11).

Marselino and Hubner are also not included in the Indonesia U-23 squad for the two test matches against Mali on 15 and 18 November.
Currently Marselino is on loan at Oxford United to AS Trencin, while Hubner is strengthening Fortuna Sittard.
However, coach Indra Sjafri called up a number of other diaspora players including Ivar Jenner, Mauro Zijlstra and Dion Markx.
Apart from that, this training session included three diaspora players.They are Luke Xavier Keet, Reycredo Beremanda, and Muhammad Mishbah.
All three of them already have Indonesian passports.Luke is a winger for the Greek second division club, GS Illioupolis.Meanwhile, Reycredo, who plays as a left winger, and Mishbah, who is an attacking midfielder, are players from the Aguilas Umak club from the Philippines.
“It’s true that coach Indra didn’t call me directly, and I didn’t call him directly, but because there was a desire. There was a desire for them to take part in the selection.”
“I’m talking about selection, or trying to see whether it suits the character, or whether it suits the coach’s wishes for these 3 players to be called up. But when later the results of the trials for these three players don’t match what we want, then we won’t call them up. So I’ll straighten this out because many people have asked me about these three players,” said Sumardji.
