) is setting up an Exchange Traded Fund
(ETF) gold
first in Indonesia.
BRI-MI Main Director Tina Meilina revealed that in presenting this product, her party collaborated with three partners, namely PT Pegadaian, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (CIMB Niaga), and PT Mandiri Sekuritas.
The company acts as a gold ETF investment manager.Meanwhile, Pegadaian is the gold provider and custodian, CIMB Niaga is the custodian bank, and Mandiri Sekuritas is the participating dealer.

“The development of this product is not only a historical milestone for the formation of new investment instruments in the capital market, but also supports increasing financial literacy and inclusion by providing underlying products that are familiar to the public, such as gold,” said Tina in an official release, Tuesday (2/12).
BRI-MI emphasized that the current momentum of rising gold prices needs to be utilized by all market players, especially investment managers.This step is also to expand the choice of commodity-based investment instruments.
Later, an integrated investment service chain will be formed.This includes providing gold, management, storage, and trading mechanisms in the capital market.
“Gold ETFs provide a new option for investors to gain exposure to gold through an exchange mechanism. With the support of Pegadaian, CIMB Niaga, and Mandiri Sekuritas, the product structure is the first in Indonesia to be present and strengthened by the ecosystem of each company,” explained Tina.
BRI-MI’s gold ETF product will provide a number of features that conventional gold instruments claim not to have.
This includes price
real-time
during stock exchange hours, more competitive spreads, digital transactions, and management by investment managers and custodian banks.
