He explained that the elimination of BPJS Employment contributions was part of a special economic policy package for the residents of Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), and West Sumatra (Sumbar).
“For the group of workers affected by the disaster, the government is also finalizing the policy of write-offs, write-offs, fines for BPJS Naker (Employment) contributions for employers who experience (disasters),” he said at the 37th anniversary of the Indonesian Issuers Association (AEI) at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Friday (12/12).

“Those affected include companies and workers in disaster-affected areas,” he continued.
Airlangga said the government would also make it easier to pay or service claims for JHT (Old Age Security), JKM (Death Insurance), JKK (Work Accident Insurance), and JP (Pension Guarantee).
Apart from that, the government will also write off people’s business credit (KUR) debt for debtors affected by the disaster on the island of Sumatra.
Airlangga estimates that 141 thousand KUR debtors were affected by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, with a debit balance of IDR 7.8 trillion.This figure includes more than 63 thousand KUR debtors in the agricultural sector with a debit balance of IDR 3.57 trillion.
“Well, of course the numbers and technical policies are being prepared. In the next few days, the government will announce a special economic policy for disaster recovery,” said Airlangga.
Flash floods and landslides have hit three regions in Sumatra for almost three weeks, namely Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
The search and evacuation process for victims who are declared missing continues to be carried out.Apart from that, restoration of road access which was once cut off is also continuing.
The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that the number of world victims due to flash floods and landslides increased to 969 people as of Wednesday (10/12).
In detail, in the Aceh region it was reported that there were 391 people, in North Sumatra there were 340 people and in West Sumatra there were 238 people.
