Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for South Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Dwi Manggalayuda, said this was known from the results of an inspection of the marbut of the mosque where Alvaro was last seen.
“There is a witness, namely the mosque marbut, who knows the alleged perpetrator who asked the marbut about Alvaro,” Dwi told reporters, Friday (14/11).

“After that, the alleged perpetrator disappeared, and we are still in the process of searching,” he said.
Dwi said that from the information from the mosque marbut, the mysterious man had characteristics like Alvaro’s father.However, the police are still looking for information regarding this mysterious man.
“If from the statement (marbut) is similar to his father, then this witness does not suspect that he is the alleged perpetrator,” he explained.
However, he said that at this time his party still could not conclude who was the perpetrator of Alvaro’s kidnapping.Investigators, he said, were still hampered by the lack of CCTV in the process of searching for Alvaro.
“We are still investigating the kidnapping because we have just heard the statement from the marbut witness and we are still looking for witnesses who know about the incident,” he said.
Previously, Alvaro Kiano Nugroho was declared missing since March 6.The incident began when Alvaro received permission to perform Maghrib prayers at the mosque near his house in the Ulujami area, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta.
However, after Maghrib prayers it turned out that Alvaro had not come home.The family searched for Alvaro’s whereabouts and his friend admitted that he was not with him when he prayed.
In the end, the family chose to report to the police to find Alvaro’s whereabouts.
Alvaro’s final characteristics include wearing a black t-shirt, black trousers and black sandals.He has a thin build, dark skin, close-cropped hair, and dimples.
Alvaro’s grandfather, Tugimin (71), suspects that Alvaro was kidnapped by a man who claimed to be his father.Tugimin obtained this information from the marbut of the Al-Muflihun Mosque, where Alvaro was last seen.
