“We have set the North Sumatra UMP for 2026 at IDR 3,228,971. This 7.9 percent increase is in accordance with the calculations made,” said Bobby at the North Sumatra Governor’s Office in Medan on Friday (19/12).
After determining the UMP, Bobby asked all district and city governments in North Sumatra to guide the size of the UMP.

He hopes that this policy can strengthen synergy and encourage regional economic activity.
“This policy is also expected to strengthen the welfare of workers in North Sumatra,” he said.
Bobby also invited workers and labor unions to work together to maintain regional conduciveness.
According to him, a safe and conducive atmosphere is very important to support the continuity of the business world and improve community welfare.
“Both from labor unions and associations, let’s work together, so that what we want has been achieved, our homework is to maintain conduciveness, from working conduciveness, and also activities in the business sector, therefore I hope that today we will continue to move together to improve the welfare of the entire community,” said Bobby.
Regarding labor inspection, Bobby will add Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS).Currently, there are only 35 PPNS people.Meanwhile, there are thousands of industries.
