Through this approach, BNI wants to present a model for empowering MSMEs that does not only focus on economic aspects, but also on social and environmental sustainability.
“The BUMI program combines financing, training and real action so that MSMEs can develop while contributing to the green economy and sustainable development,” he explained in an official statement some time ago.
Thanks to this superior initiative, BNI received the Outstanding Contribution to Empowering MSMEs and Expanding Inclusive Village Finance award.
According to him, this award is recognition of his commitment to strengthening sustainable finance and encouraging a green economy in the country.
This achievement is clear evidence of BNI’s consistency in empowering MSMEs and expanding access to financial services at the village level through innovation and strategic partnerships.
“This award is clear proof that BNI continues to be committed to empowering MSMEs and expanding financial inclusion in Indonesian villages,” said Iqbal.
Iqbal added that apart from the BUMI Program, BNI is also strengthening its role in the economic development of small communities, especially in villages, through support for the Red and White Village/Kelurahan Cooperative Program (KDMP/Kopdes Merah Putih).
Through this program, BNI provides digital financial services, strengthens cooperative institutions, and provides financing facilities with the support of the Agen46 network to reach communities in remote areas.
“This award is motivation for BNI to continue to encourage financial inclusion, strengthen the role of MSMEs as the backbone of the national economy, and confirm our position as a pioneer of sustainable finance in Indonesia,” emphasized Iqbal.
BNI’s steps are in line with the company’s vision to become a bank with a real contribution to achieving the national Asta Cita, especially in expanding financial access, improving community welfare, and accelerating the transition towards an inclusive and competitive green economy.
