Tbk (BNI) in strengthening consumer protection education received recognition from Bank Indonesia (BI).
The Company received appreciation for its involvement in the success of the Joint Consumer Protection Education Movement (GEBER PK), through the Cakrawala Education Outlet and Safe Discussion Space for All Indonesian Consumers (CERDAS) initiative.
The award was handed over by the Head of the BI Consumer Protection Department, Anton Daryono, to BNI Operations Director Ronny Venir, and witnessed by BI Board of Governors Member Filianingsih Hendarta at the “GEBER PK 2025/2026 Appreciation and Kick-Off” event in Jakarta, early November.

BNI Operations Director Ronny Venir expressed his appreciation for BI’s trust in BNI to be a partner in implementing the consumer protection literacy program.
“BNI really appreciates Bank Indonesia’s trust in us to collaborate in presenting Gerai CERDAS as a pilot project. We believe increasing consumer literacy, especially students as a digitally literate generation, is the key to creating a safe and sustainable digital transaction ecosystem,” said Ronny.
Cooperate with UI
As part of the program implementation, BNI collaborates with the University of Indonesia (UI) to present the CERDAS Store as an education center and discussion space regarding consumer protection.The facility was inaugurated on October 29 and has become a pilot location to expand students’ understanding of rights and security in digital transactions.
The SMART Store is designed as a learning center regarding protecting personal data, recognizing digital fraud modes, risk mitigation steps, and initial handling when facing transaction security threats.This approach combines two-way education through consultation facilities, discussions and the provision of easy-to-understand literacy materials.
“Through Gerai CERDAS, we want to foster a culture of digital security awareness in the younger generation, and equip them with the understanding needed to maintain the security of everyday transactions,” he said.
