National Nutrition Agency (
BGN
) consider the option of delivering a free nutritious meal menu (
MBG
) to students’ homes during the two-week school holiday period until early January 2026.
Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana, said that this option was being studied, apart from that students could still take the menu to school.BGN will ask the nutritional fulfillment service unit (SPPG) to inventory data on students who can pick up or deliver.
“If students are willing to come to school, they will be distributed to the school, if not, a mechanism needs to start being recorded

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of BGN Nanik Sudaryati Deyang said that the distribution of MBG during the holidays would be agreed upon by the school and students.BGN, he said, did not force its distribution.
“For school children, it depends on the agreement with the school, if the student wants to take it at school, we will give it, if they don’t want it, we won’t give it. So those at school won’t force it,” said Nanik.
Menu variations
Over the next four days, starting Monday (22/12), BGN will review MBG distribution options during school holidays.During that time, BGN, said Dadan, will provide dry food until MBG can then be distributed.
The menu that students can bring for four days ranges from eggs, milk, shredded meat, to beef jerky.These menus are distributed to students at the beginning of the holiday.
“At the start of the holiday, ready-to-eat food is provided for a maximum of 4 days with quality menus such as eggs, fruit, milk, shredded meat or beef jerky,” he said.
MBG for pregnant women is normal
Meanwhile, MBG specifically for pregnant women will run normally.This includes breastfeeding mothers and toddlers.
Apart from students, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children under five are included in group 3B category or parties who are entitled to receive MBG.
“For pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and toddlers as usual,” said Dadan.
