31-year-old Yolla emphasized that his motivation to play is still high, even though physical challenges and injuries are an inseparable part of a professional athlete’s career.
“In your own heart it’s a spur, you can fight against yourself. A little injury can do it. So there is a competition within yourself, whether you want to finish or continue,” said Yolla in Jakarta, Monday (22/12).

This season, Yolla officially joined Jakarta Livin Mandiri after previously strengthening Jakarta Popsivo Polwan.He hopes to get a new challenge and atmosphere.
“What’s certain is that every year we try new colors, try new families too, and coincidentally, this year’s match was with Livin Mandiri. I saw that Livin Mandiri was serious about proposing, so he tried a new team,” said Yolla.
At Jakarta Livin Mandiri, Yolla is in the middle of a team composition which is mostly made up of young players.In fact, several of the players are listed as being in their teens, ranging from 14 to 17 years old, making Yolla the most senior player on the team.
“With so many young players, it’s homework in itself. Some are 14 years old, some are 17 years old, so I’m in my 30s myself. But that actually makes me even more enthusiastic,” said the woman born in 1994.
Yolla believes that the presence of young players with a fiery mentality is a need for Jakarta Livin Mandiri at this time.According to him, it is hoped that the energy and enthusiasm of the juniors will be able to boost the team’s performance in the 2026 Proliga.
“If you look at it, the mentality of young players is usually fiery. That’s what Mandiri needs. Most seniors are usually less fiery. Hopefully in 2026 the energy can come out,” said Yolla.
Yolla’s presence was also accompanied by high expectations from the national volleyball public.Since the Proliga was held again after the COVID-19 pandemic, he has often been given the title of regular player appearing in the grand final.
Yolla admits that this label is a burden in itself, especially since Jakarta Livin Mandiri is still struggling to secure tickets to the Final Four.
“The grand final title is already attached, and it is a burden for me personally. Moreover, Livin Mandiri is looking for tickets to the Final Four first. But each player definitely has their own burden,” said Yolla.
Regarding the possibility of being trusted as team captain again, Yolla admitted that he did not know about the decision because until now there has been no official announcement from the club.
In the 2026 Proliga season, Yolla has confirmed that he will continue to play in the middle blocker position with Jakarta Livin Mandiri.This position is Yolla’s ideal role at club and national team level.
