In the final match which took place at Pupose Space Rattaprasasanphakdi, Chaeng Watthan Government Complex, Bangkok, Ignatius defeated Vietnam’s representative, Vo van Hien.
In the final match, Ignatius appeared disciplined, fast and tenacious.His punch landed quickly and precisely, giving him a 9-3 lead over the Vietnamese representative.

Previously, in the semifinal round, Ignatius defeated the representative of the Philippines, Batican Alwyn.In this fight, Ignatius won 6-2 thanks to his punches on target.
Previously, in the last eight or quarterfinals, Ignatius eliminated Timor Leste’s representative, Fernandes Pereira Quefi Deonisio with a 7-1 win.
Meanwhile, two other Indonesian karateka, namely Zefanya Ceyco Georgia and Fadhillah Arif, had to be satisfied with silver medals.Both of them lost in the final.
Zefanya did not move, losing 5-11 to Vietnam’s representative Hoang Thi My Tam in the women’s 68kg number, while Fadhillah lost 1-4 to Vietnam’s representative Nguyen Thanh Truong in the men’s 84kg number.
With Ignatius’ success, Indonesia’s gold increased to 24 as of Saturday (13/12) afternoon.The total number of Indonesian silver medals is 32 and bronze medals are 27.
