BCA Director Hendra Tanumihardja said, “In the journey to achieve success, failure is an inseparable part of the process. The younger generation needs to interpret failure according to the Ukemi philosophy, as an opportunity to grow, especially when facing an increasingly competitive world of work with the acceleration of digitalization and economic dynamics. Through the implementation of BBI at UMN, BCA is trying to prepare a young generation who is tenacious, tough, and able to respond wisely to various challenges in the future.”
On the same occasion, Hendra explained how Ukemi was implemented in BCA’s journey as a banking institution.Ukemi itself is a technique in martial arts that emphasizes the ability to receive attacks wisely so as not to get injured when falling. This philosophy is also one of BCA’s guidelines for being resilient in facing various challenges, competition and economic conditions so that the company continues to grow, develop and progress.
Furthermore, BCA realizes that education plays a big role in shaping students so they are able to develop themselves not only in the academic realm.
Through BBI, BCA supports the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045 by providing the younger generation with relevant soft skills. This initiative is a form of the company’s contribution to increasing human resource capacity through collaboration with a number of educational institutions.
BBI at UMN is the seventh event in the BCA Sharing Knowledge 2025 series, after previously being held at Brawijaya University, University of Indonesia, GadjahMada University, IPB University, Andalas University, and Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya. The implementation of BBI at UMN increases the reach of this program, with more than 4,350 students participating throughout 2025.
“The implementation of BCA Sharing Knowledge stems from the awareness that the young generation is the nation’s future leaders whose potential needs to be developed optimally, so that they can become leaders who are responsible for themselves and society.
“Through Bakti BCA, we are committed to providing a positive impact on all levels of society, starting from the individual, community and ecosystem levels,” concluded Hendra.
Apart from BBI, as a form of consistent support for the younger generation, especially students, BCA also presents the “Genera-Z Berbakti” program.Programs
This involves students in community service through funding, mentoring, and supporting scientific publications.
Apart from presenting the Genera-Z Berbakti program, BCA consistently carries out various sustainable initiatives that have a social impact under the umbrella of the Bakti BCA program.
These various initiatives are based on the belief that empowered individuals are able to empower their communities and contribute to ecosystem sustainability,
creating a sustainable cycle of positive impact. The Bakti BCA program covers various fields, starting from education (Bakti Pendidikan), health (Bakti Kesehatan), cultural preservation (Bakti Budaya), community empowerment (BCA Bakti Village), to environmental preservation (Environmental Service).
