Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan emphasized that this process is the domain of law enforcement officials and does not affect government performance.
“This process is entirely under the authority of law enforcement officials. Our priority is to maintain government stability and ensure that public services continue to run normally,” said Farhan in a release issued by the Bandung City Government Diskominfo, Wednesday (10/12).

He emphasized that the Bandung City Government continues to strengthen bureaucratic reform and internal supervision to ensure that government governance remains on the path of integrity.Farhan appealed to the public not to speculate and wait for official information from the authorities.
According to Farhan, the current legal dynamics do not affect the implementation of regional government.He emphasized that all public services were running as usual.
“I understand the public’s anxiety, but I can assure you that the wheels of government remain stable and public services are not disrupted,” he said.
Farhan has also instructed the Regional Secretary to improve internal coordination and ensure regional apparatus work according to their duties and functions.He again emphasized a clear separation between ongoing legal matters and government services.
“The Bandung City Government remains committed to providing the best service for residents. The ongoing legal process is not directly related to government operations,” said Farhan.
As a further step, the Bandung City Government is accelerating the strengthening of the internal supervision system, including optimizing the Government Internal Control System (SPIP), increasing the role of the Inspectorate, and accelerating the digitalization of administration.All service operational standards are also evaluated to prevent potential abuse of authority.
The city government ensures that basic services such as health, education and population administration continue to operate without obstacles.Daily coordination under the Regional Secretary is strengthened to maintain the responsiveness and rhythm of government work.
“Our task is to ensure that people continue to get the best service. Mitigation steps have been prepared so that the dynamics that occur do not affect services in the field,” said Farhan.
The Bandung City Government also continues to communicate with the West Java Provincial Government, related ministries, and law enforcement officials to ensure that governance stability is maintained.Farhan emphasized that his government would not compromise on integrity.
Previously, the Bandung City District Prosecutor’s Office named two Bandung City officials, namely M Erwin as deputy mayor of Bandung and Rendiana Awangga as a member of the Bandung City DPRD, as suspects in alleged criminal acts of corruption which focused on abuse of authority in regulating projects for the procurement of goods and services within the Bandung City Government in 2025.
This announcement was made by the Head of the Bandung City District Prosecutor’s Office, Irfan Wibowo, on Wednesday (10/12), coinciding with the momentum of World Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA) 2025. Irfan explained that the upgrade of the case status to a special investigation was carried out after investigators obtained two valid pieces of evidence.
