Bahlil said that the positions of Inspector General and Director General of Energy and Mineral Resources Law Enforcement (Dirjen Gakkum), which are held by members of the police and active prosecutors, are needed in aspects of supervision and law enforcement in the energy and mineral resources sector.
“The police are active, then the prosecutor is active. The prosecutor is also in our office. The Director General of Gakkum (Director General of Energy Law Enforcement and Human Resources) is from the prosecutor, and I think this is a good collaboration and very helpful,” said Bahlil at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, quoting

He emphasized that the presence of active members of the National Police and prosecutors serving in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources still complies with applicable regulations.
His party is still waiting for official studies from a number of ministries before determining the next steps.
“After there is a decision by the MK (Constitutional Court), we will see what developments are studied by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, then the Minister of Home Affairs, then from the Minister of Law. After that, we will follow what is studied,” explained Bahlil.
Regarding possible changes to the structure or withdrawal of Polri personnel from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil said he would fully follow the government’s decision.
“We will look at the regulations after the Constitutional Court’s decision. What is decided by the Minister of Law, Menpan RB, will definitely become a reference,” added Bahlil.
Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra said the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the ban on active police holding civil positions would be input for the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission.
He said that the Constitutional Court’s decision must be followed up with changes to statutory regulations and a transition for active police officers who already hold positions in ministries or institutions.
He emphasized that all members of the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission will know and be aware of the Constitutional Court’s decision because it was pronounced in a session that was open to the public.
Thus, he continued, the latest regulations regarding this decision will soon be made because the provisions regarding active police holding civil positions are not specifically regulated in Law (UU) Number 2 of 2002 concerning the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia.
Most recently, the National Police Headquarters canceled the assignment of Senior Officer (Pati) Inspector General Raden Argo Yuwono who was previously assigned to the Ministry of MSMEs.
Karo Penmas, National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said that the withdrawal was one of the consequences of the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) Number 114/PUU/XXIII/2025 dated 13 November 2025.
Trunoyudo said that one of the considerations for Argo’s recall was because he was still in the orientation process in order to change positions at the Ministry of MSMEs.
“To return to the National Police for career development in the name of Inspector General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono based on the letter from the National Police Chief dated November 20 2025,” he said in a written statement, Thursday (20/11).
