Bahlil believes that the founder of the Golkar Party deserves the title of hero.He hopes that parties who still refuse will immediately accept the government’s decision.
“If there are those who still don’t want to let it go, I pray, hopefully they can let it go. If they are no longer sincere, Muslims continue to pray, Christians go to church, Hindus and Buddhists go to their respective places of worship so that they can receive mercy from Allah SWT,” said Bahlil at the Golkar DPP Office, Slipi, West Jakarta, Friday (14/11), as reported

Bahlil claims that Suharto’s services to the Indonesian people have been numerous.He mentioned Suharto’s tenure as president which reached 32 years.
He understands that there are some people who do not agree with assigning the title of hero to Suharto.However, he said that the Golkar Party welcomed President Prabowo Subianto’s decision.
“We from the Golkar Party DPP would like to express our sincere thanks from all Golkar Party cadres, from Sabang to Merauke to the government, in this case Mr President Prabowo, who has awarded Pak Harto a hero,” said Bahlil.
Previously, Prabowo gave Suharto the title of hero in commemoration of Heroes’ Day 2025.
Apart from Suharto, there are nine other figures who received the title of hero.Some of them include the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur, TNI General (Ret.) Sarwo Edhie Wibowo, and Marsinah.
