Ipswich Town coach, Kieran Mckenna, admitted that he had opened up the opportunity to loan Baggott. This will be done for the good of the players because they cannot compete in the first team.
“This [loan] is of course a matter of discussion. To be honest, they [Elkan Baggott and Cameron Humphreys] are both really unlucky,” said McKenna as quoted by
TWTD
.
Before the decision to loan Baggott is made, McKenna will speak with the club’s management and the player. The team’s injury situation will be one consideration.
“I think the most important thing is our injury record. It’s very difficult to predict what we will experience,” he said about the reason why Baggott and Humphreys were not loaned out.
“And I will try to remember what injuries we had apart from Wes [Burns] and Conor [Townsend], who were injured before the season started,” he explained.
Throughout the 2025/2026 season, Baggott has never appeared with Ipswich in the Premier League. So far Baggott has only appeared with Ipswich U-21 twice.
