, officially married his girlfriend, Jodie Haydon, in a private ceremony on Saturday (29/10).

, Albanese became the first Australian PM to marry while still in office.Albanese and Haydon were married in a small ceremony attended by family and close friends at The Lodge, Canberra.
Haydon wore a dress by Sydney designer ‘Romance was Born’, while Albanese wore a suit from MJ Bale.

Haydon’s five-year-old niece, Ella, was the flower girl, and Australian PM Albanese’s dog, Toto, was the ring bearer.
After the ceremony, Albanese and Haydon walked back down the aisle to Stevie Wonder’s song ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)’.Their first dance was to Frank Sinatra’s ‘The Way You Look Tonight’.
“We are thrilled to be able to share our love and commitment to our future together, in the presence of our family and closest friends,” Albanese said in a statement released to the media.
Haydon has accompanied Albanese at several events over the years and also stood by him during his election campaign in 2022 and in May this year, when Labor won with a majority.
Previously, Albanese had proposed to Haydon on Valentine’s Day 2024.
Albanese met Haydon more than five years ago at a business dinner in Melbourne.Albanese divorced from his previous wife in 2019 and has a son named Nathan.
