) reveals the chronology of the arrest of Kasi Datun Kejari Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Tri Taruna Fariadi who escaped from
KPK Hand Arrest Operation (OTT).

Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, said that officers were successfully arrested by officers last Sunday (21/12) in South Kalimantan (Kalsel) after running away for three days since Thursday (18/12).
“If I’m not mistaken, yesterday (he was arrested). He was immediately taken yesterday, yes [he was arrested] on Sunday,” he told reporters at the Attorney General’s Office, Monday (22/12).

Tonight the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) has detained Taruna as a suspect in an alleged extortion case for the next 20 days.The detention was carried out after Tri Taruna underwent an intensive examination since Monday afternoon.
Tri Taruna, who was wearing an orange vest typical of KPK prisoners with number 100 and his hands were handcuffed, did not say a word when confirmed regarding his legal case.He went straight to the KPK detention car.
Anang said that as a result of the arrest, the perpetrator was immediately taken to the KPK to be handed over to investigators for processing in the alleged corruption case.
Through the handover of Cadets, Anang claimed that his party would not intervene in any way in the ongoing legal process at the KPK.
He said this was also the Attorney General’s commitment to support law enforcement measures and internal clean-up efforts, in order to maintain the dignity and integrity of the Adhyaksa Corps.
“The prosecutor’s office emphasized that the institution will not obstruct, intervene or provide protection to anyone suspected of being involved in criminal acts of corruption,” he said.
Furthermore, Anang said that from Taruna’s confession, the person concerned ran away during the OTT because he was afraid of being arrested.
“Because the person concerned doesn’t know for sure whether it’s a KPK officer or who, he doesn’t understand. Avoids it like that.
“The arrests were in the South Kalimantan area,” said Anang.
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also named the Head of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu, and the Head of the Intelligence Section of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Asis Budianto, as suspects.
Both of them have been detained at the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) detention center for the first 20 days starting from 19 December 2025 to 8 January 2026.
The suspects are suspected of violating Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter f of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 of the Criminal Code.
In the OTT which started with a public complaint, the KPK arrested 21 people.Six of them were taken to Jakarta for examination.
Apart from Kajari and Head of HSU Intel, the rest of them still have witness status.

After serving as Kajari HSU in August 2025, Albertinus allegedly received cash flows of at least IDR 804 million, directly or through intermediaries, namely Asis and Tri Taruna and other parties.
